Peripheral Arterial Disease is also known as PAD. Patients will describe symptoms such as: heaviness in legs, pain while walking which improved when at rest, pain or cramping at night that improves when the legs are dependent (hanging down).
Skin manifestations can vary from redness to blackened sores.
There are simple non-painful test that can preformed to screen for PAD. If you have any changes in your legs discuss it with you doctor.
